SUMMARY:Baltimore Symphony Orchestra: Steve Hackman - Taylor Swift's The Symphony Era
DESCRIPTION:September 19\, 2026 | 7:30 PM Meyerhoff Symphony Hall1212 Cathedral StreetBaltimore\, MD 21201 \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\nBy popular demand\, composer and conductor Steve Hackman returns with his orchestral take on the music of Taylor Swift. From joy to heartbreak and everything in between\, her songs shine in full symphonic color. Bring your friendship bracelets and be part of the moment. The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) is one of America’s leading orchestras\, known for its artistic excellence\, community engagement\, and commitment to education. Founded in 1916\, the BSO has grown from a small municipal ensemble into a world-class institution performing across multiple venues\, including its primary home\, the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore\, and The Music Center at Strathmore in North Bethesda. \n\n\nUnder the leadership of Jonathon Heyward\, who became Music Director in the 2023–24 season\, the BSO has embraced a renewed sense of energy and innovation. The orchestra presents a wide range of programming — from core classical works and contemporary premieres to film concerts\, family shows\, and collaborations with pop and jazz artists. Its ability to balance tradition with modern relevance makes it a vital part of the cultural fabric of Maryland and the broader mid-Atlantic region. \nIn addition to its concert performances\, the BSO is deeply committed to music education and access. Programs like OrchKids\, BSO Academy\, and the Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestras serve thousands of students each year. The orchestra also brings live music to underserved communities through neighborhood concerts\, school visits\, and summer outreach initiatives. This focus on inclusion and impact has helped the BSO remain a national leader in reimagining what a 21st-century orchestra can be. \n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Get Tickets!
