SUMMARY:SINATRA AT THE SANDS with Chris Pinnella
DESCRIPTION:June 7\, 2026 | 3:00 PM – 5:00 PMThe STAR Centre of Havre de Grace700 Congress AvenueHavre de Grace\, MD 21078 \nStep into the golden age of Las Vegas for an unforgettable experience celebrating the 60th anniversary of one of the most legendary live albums ever recorded. \nJoin powerhouse vocalist Chris Pinnella as he returns to The STAR \nwith his 14-Piece Big Band in a thrilling\, start-to-finish performance of Frank Sinatra’s iconic album\, Sinatra at the Sands. Originally recorded live at the Sands Hotel with the Count Basie Orchestra\, this album captured Sinatra at the absolute height of his powers—and now\, six decades later\, it comes roaring back to life on stage. \nFrom the swinging swagger of “Fly Me to the Moon” and “Come Fly With Me” to the irresistible drive of “I’ve Got You Under My Skin\,” every moment of the album is faithfully recreated. Throughout the performance\, original audio clips of Frank Sinatra himself are woven in—Old Blue Eyes cracking jokes\, setting up songs\, and working the room—allowing Pinnella’s orchestra to seamlessly launch into hit after hit\, just as it unfolded on that legendary Vegas stage. \nFollowing the full album performance\, the show continues with an encore celebration of Sinatra favorites. Enjoy timeless classics such as “The Lady Is a Tramp\,” “My Way\,” “New York\, New York\,” and more—performed in full big band splendor. \nMore than a tribute\, Sinatra at the Sands – 60th Anniversary is a fully immersive concert experience honoring one of the greatest live recordings in music history. \n \n Get Tickets!

SUMMARY:Liberty Tree Dedication
DESCRIPTION:June 13\, 2026 | 10:00 AM Moore Family Homestead 710 Market StreetHavre de Grace. MD 21078 \nJoin local leaders\, historians\, and community partners for the dedication of the Maryland Liberty Tree\, honoring the enduring spirit of freedom that began during the American Revolution and continues to inspire our nation today. \nAs we commemorate America’s Semiquincentennial\, we celebrate the powerful legacy of the Liberty Tree — a lasting symbol of American resistance\, civic unity\, and shared responsibility. \nThe Maryland Liberty Tree Project uses seedlings grown from the only surviving genetically identical Liberty Tree scion in the United States — descended from Annapolis’ original 1775 Liberty Tree — to preserve and share a living connection to our nation’s founding ideals while planting descendant Liberty Trees in every Maryland county and Baltimore City as part of the statewide commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of American Independence.

SUMMARY:SAIL250 Maryland Airshow and Flyovers
DESCRIPTION:June 26-28\, 2026 Baltimore Inner Harbor301 E Pratt StreetBaltimore\, MD 21202 \nThe U.S. Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Team returns to Baltimore along with flyovers and demonstrations at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. \nU.S. Navy BLUE ANGELS Flight Demonstration Team\nThe mission of the Blue Angels is to showcase the teamwork and professionalism of the United States Navy and Marine Corps through flight demonstrations and community outreach while inspiring a culture of excellence and service to country. The team is stationed at Forrest Sherman Field\, Naval Air Station Pensacola\, Florida\, during the air show season. The squadron spends January through March training at Naval Air Facility El Centro\, California.  Around the country\, the team serves as ambassadors of goodwill by bringing naval aviation to men\, women\, and children across America.  The precision flight demonstrations showcase the professionalism\, excellence and teamwork found in all Navy and Marine Corps units\, as well as provide the thrill and magic of flight to people each year.  Since its inception\, the team has flown for more than 500 million spectators worldwide.  One of the most rewarding aspects of being a Blue Angel is the opportunity to spend time visiting hospitals\, schools\, and community functions in each air show city.  At schools across the country\, the team takes time to interact with students and discuss the benefits of military service and the excitement of naval aviation across the country\, hoping to inspire others to pursue their own dreams.  The hope is that tomorrow’s leaders will be encouraged and motivated by what they see in the performance\, and all the men and women that make up the Blue Angels. \n\nInner Harbor Flyovers and Demonstrations\nFlyovers and aviation demonstrations will take place over Baltimore’s Inner Harbor during SAIL250 Maryland.  Possible demonstrations include U.S. Coast Guard Search and Rescue Drill and WWII-era “Warbird” flyovers.  A full schedule will be published on the SAIL250 App. \nSchedule \nClick the link to view the full schedule: https://www.sail250md.org/schedule-of-events  \n\n \n More Info
