The War Way Out West, Glorietta, New Mexico

About The Speaker:

Tom Beall is not a professional historian. He minored in history in college at Penn University. Twenty years ago, Tom’s son’s scout troop camped at Gettysburg and Tom volunteered to lead a tour. As Tom studied, he caught the “ACW bug”. Tom continues to lead scout tours of Gettysburg and Antietam. Tom has visited over 120 battlefields and taken a dozen or so guided tours, including several with the late, legendary Ed Bearss.
Tom’s mother grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico and he visited his grandparents most summers. On the way to the hiking/fishing/picnicking on the Pecos River, he would pass the lonely monument to Battle of Glorietta (shown in the photo). About 8 years ago, Tom took a week-long tour of New Mexico in the ACW and have researched it quite a bit since then.
Tom is an Army veteran and is retired.

THE MEETING BEGINS AT 6:30 PM WITH COFFEE, DONUTS, AND USED BOOK SALE
