Celebrate the first president of the United States at his beloved home. Admission is FREE for Presidents Day!

- Visit the Washington Presidential Library’s Open House (10:00am – 4:00pm)
- Kids can create a birthday card for George Washington on the bowling green. (10:00am – 3:30pm)
- Food Truck concessions on the 12-Acre Field (weather permitting)
- Half Crown Bakehouse on the 12-Acre Field

10:00am
The official presidential wreath-laying ceremony at George Washington’s Tomb.
10:30am
Official Observance Ceremony of George Washington’s Birthday, followed by a special military demonstration on the bowling green.
11:00am – 1:00pm
Meet “Lady Washington” in the Interpretive Center.
1:00pm
Music of the Revolution on the bowling green.
2:30pm
Music of the Revolution on the bowling green.
3:00pm – 5:00pm
Meet “Lady Washington” in the Interpretive Center.
Mansion Tours
Mansion tours are timed. Tickets will be distributed first come, first serve. Depending on the number of guests, there may be a 2-3 hour delay between your arrival and your Mansion tour time. Arrive early to receive the earliest tour times.
Parking
Parking at Mount Vernon is free, but lots may fill up early in the day. Additional parking is available at Mount Vernon High School (8515 Old Mt Vernon Rd., Alexandria). Shuttles will run between these sites and George Washington’s estate.
