Celebrate Women's History Month

Women’s Voices in Poetry

Join us for this very special community event in recognition of Women’s History Month!

A diverse group of thirty local women will perform poetry by female American poets, including Maya Angelou, Suheir Hammad, Georgia Douglas Johnson, Cynthia Cruz, Adrienne Rich, and Iyanla Vanzant, as well as several original poems. If you attended last year’s Women’s Poetry Event, you don’t want to miss this year’s performances by these Phenomenal Women!

Katy Bosserman, Patrice Brown, Linda Cherry, Sheryl Coleman, Melissa Derisca, Neepa Dholakia, Nita Dholakia, Claudia Felix, Megan Fitzgerald, Chanté Franco, Janina Garris, Lovetie Gbalazeh, Felicia Grant-Hopkins, Margee Kerr, Sabra Kurth, Mecca Lewis-Shakur, Brittany Martin, Gillian Miller, Chloe Padgett, Aravinda Pillalamarri, Gay Lynn Price, Roxann Redd-Wallace, Chiquita Tanner, Tracey Waite, Stephanie Watkins, Miriam Whitehead, Sharoll Williams-Love, Faye Worthington, and Karen Wright.

Tickets are $12 for Adults ($10 for Seniors), $5 for Youth 17 through 6, and Free for Youth 5 and Under. Tickets can also be purchased at the Havre de Grace Visitor Center. Advance registration is strongly encouraged!
